Women in Technology: Dr. Danielle Belgrave
Belgrave grew up in Trinidad and Tobago and was inspired to look into data science by her mathematics teacher. She later graduated from University College London with a master's degree in statistics. Choosing to pursue a PhD in machine learning, she moved to the University of Manchester to complete her studies.
Belgrave is currently a machine learning researcher in the Healthcare Intelligence group at Microsoft Research. She works on Project Talia, which focuses on an approach that uses AI, data platforms, analytics, and machine learning to assist in the detection and treatment of mental health problems.
