Techman Posted April 20 Share Posted April 20 Flood Warning issued April 19 at 12:47PM CDT until April 22 at 4:00PM CDT by NWS Duluth MN Counties: Burnett, WI ...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt and rain continues. * WHERE...A portion of northwest Wisconsin, including the following area, Burnett. * WHEN...Until 400 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of lakes, rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. The Clam River remains steady or gradually receding and should slowly drop. However forecast rain may drive this river to a second crest. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1244 PM CDT, gauge and public reports high water on area rivers and streams. Flooding is ongoing in the warned area. Expect rain starting Wednesday and continuing Thursday when rain may be heavy at times. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.8 to 1.3 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Siren, Webster and Saint Croix State Park. - Flood safety information can be found at www.weather.gov/safety/flood. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and to the National Weather Service in Duluth when you can do so safely.
