Tornado Warning issued May 16 at 4:49PM EDT until May 16 at 5:15PM EDT by NWS Jackson KY
Counties: Floyd, KY; Johnson, KY; Magoffin, KY
...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM EDT FOR SOUTHERN JOHNSON...NORTHWESTERN FLOYD AND EAST CENTRAL MAGOFFIN COUNTIES...

At 449 PM EDT, a confirmed tornado was located over Hendricks, or near Salyersville, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is likely.

This tornado will be near... Sublett around 455 PM EDT. Royalton around 500 PM EDT. Marshallville around 505 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
